continues to strive to offer a quality retreat environment for groups and
individuals seeking contemplative retreat space and a location for
teaching and training. Sophia's Barn has been designed to provide
comfort and effectiveness during your time here in the Hill Country. A
complete reconstruction of the barn in the last quarter of 2004 has
resulted in a new facility of comfort and use.
Smaller groups will find it an intimate
setting for study and sharing. Larger groups can utilize the
flexibility of the design to create space to complement the nature and
style of the gathering.
This new center is a reconstruction and enlargement of a cedar barn that
was the first building constructed here on this site many years ago.
The main meeting room provides comfortable seating for 35-40 people and
the adjacent sitting area can be converted for about 15 people more if
there is a larger group attending a day conference or reception.
Our kitchen provides extra benefit for those here at the retreat center
to aid in their own meal preparation or for daily breaks. All
dishes and cooking needs are readily available.
